Investing in machinery to develop the best products

A culture of continuous improvement means that as a business we continually learn, adapt and evolve to fine-tune our infrastructure and manufacturing methods. This means investing in the best machinery for the job.

To ensure the quality and efficiency of our brick production, we have made strategic investments in our manufacturing equipment. By upgrading our machinery, we achieve greater precision, safety, and versatility in the production process. Here are some of the ways we’re improving our processes.

Brick Auto Cutter

While not a new piece of machinery, we recently upgraded our auto cutter. This is an automatic machine capable of cutting angular pieces and strips from both full and hollow bricks. It is ideal for brick specials such as Concealment of Construction products. This upgrade has improved our production efficiency and it is also one of the safest pieces of machinery available.

Water Jet Cutter

Investing in our water jet cutter has further improved the speed and quality of some of our products, increasing our UK Capacity. This is an incredibly versatile CNC cutting machine. A focused beam of highly pressurised water is used to cut smooth edges on even the toughest of materials. 

Because of its precision when cutting round edges, we are able to offer a range of rounded detail products, including bullnose and radial bricks. The cutter has also allowed us to enhance our Arches portfolio. We manufacture both Prefabricated structural and Non-structural Arches suitable for a range of applications. Our Flat Gauge Arch and Segmental Arch are designed to increase site efficiency and remove the need for intricate and slow brickwork on site.

As well as our UK operations, we offer an exclusive range of over a hundred different types of Dutch, Danish, and German-manufactured clay-facing bricks. These bricks are available in various colours, sizes, and textures and are produced by some of Europe's leading manufacturers, including Egernsund Tegl, Celina Klinker and Mora Ceramicas. 

Our own brand family is made up of Rijswaard Baksteen, Rijswaard Baksteen Retro and Rijswaard Baksteen Sterrewaard. These are produced in our Dutch factory, which has a keen focus on Innovation, quality and sustainability. To find out more about our processes, get in touch with our team.
