Owers House - Potential RIBA 'House of the Year'

Following our blog earlier in the year 'Owers House - Award Winning Potential', we're very pleased to say the project won a 'RIBA South West award in March

AAB were extremely proud to have been involved in the brick selection process and whilst our Birchridge brick was used sparingly in the design, it created a striking contrast against the chosen timber and glazing. One unique feature discussed with specifiers since is the use of the brick internally and externally, paired with complimentary mortar and contrasting mortar respectively.

Following the projects success with the RIBA South West Award, it has now been put forward for the 'RIBA - House of the Year' award. The award selects the top twenty projects in the UK and is presented in conjunction with Grand Designs on Channel 4. The house will be showcased in one of 4 episodes showcasing all the entries and will also be feature in The Sunday Times Home Supplement on Sunday 13th November.

Once again we would like to thank everyone involved in the project for choosing AAB and the Birchridge from Daas Baskteen, and wish the whole team the best of luck with the award.
